Sigrún Gyða Sveinsdóttir, born in 1993 is a working artist, based in Amsterdam and Reykjavík. She holds a diploma in classical singing from Kópavogur Music Academy (2019), a BA degree in Fine Arts from the Iceland University of Arts (2017), a year of visual studies from the Reykjavík Art Academy (2014) and a semester in FAMU, photography and film department, Prague (2015).

In her practice, she uses music, installations, and video performances as tools for community research into popular culture and nature. In fall 2021 Sigrún graduates with a Master's Degree in Fine Art and Design with a specialisation in moving image from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam.

Sigrún has exhibited, directed, and curated various projects in Iceland and abroad for the past years as well as perfoming in works by other artists. She is one of the project managers of the Plan-B Art Festival that happends in August every year in the town of Borgarnes, Iceland.
